Made in Jamtland the first album by 220 Volt to contain live material only. “Volume 1” (released Nov 2002) had a few live tracks, but was limited to a 1000 copies. Expect the album to arrive in record stores in Scandinavia around Feb 25 th 2005. Release of the album in the rest of the world is being discussed right now. The band is hoping for a U.S release soon and in Japan several companies are awaiting the material.

We grew up in a region of Sweden called “Jamtland”. That´s where this album was recorded. We´ve taped a few club gigs during the period of November 2002 until November 2004. The piece of land called Jamtland, is populated by (strongminded) people very much into keeping this part of the country alive. There´s a festival held every year in Östersund, (Storsjöyran), which is actually the biggest festival in Sweden. Counting the numbers of people living in Östersund and the competition in festivals, (Hultsfred and Sweden Rock being 2 examples), it´s almost unlikely that this could be likely.
But the spirit of the Jamt’s and the friendliness among the Jamt´s has earned a reputation. People just love coming here, over and over again. And that isn't just around the Storsjöyran period of time….This part of the country has a lot to offer around the year! That´s why 220 Volt are proud to call this album “Made in Jamtland”. Most of the guys in the band are fans of Deep Purple and yes the title is borrowed, BUT this really means something to us !!!!!!
Keep that in mind and sit back with a few beers, or a bottle of wine and enjoy this album, at high volume! That´s what we’re doing right now!
cheers
Mats Karlsson, Thomas Drevin
