Recorded at Stockholm Recording. Produced by Thomas Witt.
The
album was recorded
in April 1983. Recording and mix took 10 days. There were a couple
of rehearsal sessions with producer Thomas Witt before entering
the studio. A few things were straightened out in the songs, but
they went on tape pretty much as they were. All backing tracks were
recorded live in the studio. A line-up change made Jocke Lundholm
step in as vocalist during the recording. Tough Times!

Recorded at Stockholm Recording. Produced by Thomas Witt.
This
album was recorded in November 1983. Very close to the first
album as you may notice. It took 3 weeks to complete, so there was
more time to work on things. We had a demo with 11 songs, that was
all we had written since the first album. All songs on the demo
were recorded. The album was never released in Japan, the record
company in Sweden changed our label to CBS instead of EPIC which
was basically the same company. In Japan however that meant switching
company altogether. Apparently they couldn´t decide who was
getting to release it, so instead they passed.
Cult fact:
The keyboards on the album were done without any member of
the band being in the studio. Unfortunately on one track they turned
out less than
good and very out of tune. When the final mix arrived for the band
to approve (which we didn´t), the album had already been mastered
and sent for pressing. The band actually made the record company
pull the first issue
from record stores. Apparently a few hundred copies slipped out
though and are considered rare and hard to find.

Recorded

The record company was pushing for a new album, but we were
short of material since we had been on the road a lot since "Powergames"
was released. However, between two summer tours in 1984 we entered
the studio to start recording. We recorded 4 songs during a week and
a half. Powergames was one of them. For some reason, the company decided
to take the tapes to a different studio to have them re-mixed. The
result was that they were ruined. Basstracks had been erased and all
sorts of strange stuff had happened. So we had to start all over.
Way to go!
We
started again in late September early October and had by then gathered
a few more ideas. We recorded about 20 songs, but all weren´t
finished and mixed. Heavy Christmas was written during these sessions.
It took the rest of the year to finish the album. A lot was written
in the studio which was a new and costly experience.

Young
And Wild
4th album,
released in April 1987
Released on CD in 1987, but very hard to find. Has been out
of print for years.
|
 |
|
Tracklist:
Young And Wild - Firefall - Mistreated Eyes - Lorraine
High Heels - Powergames (re-mixed) - Heavy Christmas
Mind Over Muscle (re-mixed) - Dreams (previously unreleased)
Electric Messengers (re-mixed)
Line-up
M.Karlsson - T.Drevin - P.Olander - P.Hermansson
- M.Larsson -J.Lundholm
Recorded at Polar Studios, Soundtrade and Stockholm Recording
Produced by 220 volt, Thomas Witt and Johan Walin
This album was a compilation of some new songs, some unreleased,
some re-mixed material and single b-sides that weren´t on any
other album. "Young And Wild" and "Lorraine" were
new tracks. "Dreams" was a leftover from the "Mind
Over Muscle" sessions. "Lorraine" did very well in
the charts and gave us a lot of airplay, which helped "Young
And Wild" to a decent amount of airplay as well, but it didn´t
do so well in the charts though.

Eye
To Eye
5th album,
released in November 1988
Released on CD, but out of print. A re-issue will be available
from Power Play Records in 2003.

Tracklist:
The Harder They Come - I´m On Fire - Beat Of A Heart

track on CD)
Line-up
M.Karlsson - P.Olander - P.Hermansson - M.Larsson
- J.Lundholm
Recorded
at Media Sound New York City.
Produced by Max Norman.
The album was recorded in April, May and June of 1988. Two
weeks of rehearsals with Max in March and April before recording started.
Another producer was tried out and the band spent some time in Munich,
Germany for recordings, but the general feeling was that the sound
wasn´t what the band wanted. Max was the better producer in
our eyes.
It was a new experience for the band to record with a well known producer,
and we learned a lot and had tons of fun in N.Y.

(T.Drevin - C.Åsell, Prisoner of war/Sauron)
Recorded
at Twillight and Dream Machine Studios. Mixed at Airplay Studios.
Produced by 220 Volt and Kjell Björk (first single).
This album is based on the first and last recordings of the
band, at least what we thought would be the first and last. Most
of it was recorded between 1990-92. A lot of songs were written
but never used as the band left CBS/SONY. This material was meant
to be on a follow up to "Eye To Eye", but in 1992 the
band split-up and the material was never used. After a few years
we had another look at it and decided to release it anyway, even
though the band wasn´t together.

Produced by 220 Volt
The re-united "old" line-up produced this album to
celebrate the 20th anniversary of the very first single. Recorded
in a couple of rehearsal places in Sweden in September and October
2002 and of course at the Sweden Rock Festival in June the same year.
The idea was to not just play a few shows to celebrate, we wanted
to do it all again and re-record the songs from the first single.
Hopefully to our fans pleasure cause we sure had a great time recording
it! The first single was only released in a limited edition, so we
did the same thing again.

This is a compilation album for the U.S market only. Sort of
an introduction of 220 Volt to the American audience. All songs are
picked from our first three albums. It was put together by Bob Feineigle
who was our A&R guy at Epic records in the States. Bob was always
very good to us and visited us a few times in Sweden, as well as showing
up almost everyday in the studio for the "Eye To Eye" recording.
Get in touch if you read this Bob! Holy Cow!
